
The Centre is a gathering space and community hub for refugees, people seeking asylum and migrants to attend activities, build community, and seek support.
Every Wednesday, the doors to the Centre on Cross Street are open from 10:30am – 3:00pm with in-person activities across the day that include:
- Choir led by the Director of the World Harmony Orchestra
- Dance led by choreographers from Protein Dance Company
- Art and Writing led by our three artists in residence
- Digital & IT Support with ScreenShare
- Lunch freshly prepared by a team of volunteers
- Support Service casework appointments for advice on housing, healthcare, etc.
- Free Shop with toiletries, books, warm clothes, etc.
- Tea Cosy, Over 60s and social club
- Craft Corner sewing club
On Tuesdays in-person activities are available at Christ Church Community Centre from 12:00 to 2:30pm, including hot drinks and snacks, Support Service appointments and an English class provided by our partners at Speak Street.
On Thursdays we are at the Church on the Corner from 10am to 1pm with our English classes, Digital and IT support, and Support Services appointments. We also provide hot drinks and snacks.

Fire Safety Info:
Fire Safety is essential in any building. Please observe the fire safety signs around the buildings. If there is a Fire or you hear the Fire Alarm, everyone must leave by the nearest safe Fire Exit.
Emergency Meeting Points:
Christ Church Highbury (Tuesdays): Exit the building and head straight to the Clock Tower which is straight ahead.

Cross Street Baptist Church (Wednesdays): All three exits onto Cross Street are Fire Exits. Exit the building onto Cross Street, TURN RIGHT and meet outside ‘PAPER MACHE TIGER’ shop.

Church on the Corner (Thursdays): Barnard Park. Exit the building via the main entrance door and then turn immediately right.
