Centre Days

The Centre is a gathering space and community hub for refugees, people seeking asylum and migrants to attend activities, build community, and seek support. Every week we provide three days of in-person activities.

Across the last academic year, we had:


On Tuesdays from 12pm to 2:30pm, we provide an English class plus hot drinks, snacks, and socialising.

Every Wednesday from 10am to 4.30pm we offer holistic support and creative classes including:

  • Choir led by the Director of the World Harmony Orchestra
  • Dance led by choreographers from Protein Dance Company
  • Art and Writing led by our artists in residence
  • Digital & IT support with Screen Share UK
  • Lunch, freshly prepared by a team of volunteers
  • Support Service casework appointments for advice on housing, healthcare, etc.
  • Free toiletries, books, clothes, etc.
  • Gym at St Mary’s Community Centre
  • Islington South Library literacy programme (monthly)
  • Yoga with Nisaba (monthly)
  • Rotating partner sessions

On Thursdays from 10am to 12pm we provide an English class and digital support drop-in. We also offer hot drinks, snacks, socialising, and a monthly community lunch.


In addition to three days of in-person support, we also have five days of classes online.
