The Support Service Team (Isobel and Martha) provides one-to-one support to refugees and asylum seekers, helping them overcome practical challenges to build a stable life in the UK. They play a crucial role in providing emotional support, advice, and advocacy by facilitating access to:
- Legal and Asylum support: navigation of the immigration system, support with finding legal representation
- Healthcare: securing a GP, getting free prescriptions, and dental care
- Housing: emergency and long-term housing, e.g. shelters, hostels, refugee hosting
- Counselling: specialist trauma counselling through partners
- Foodbanks: connection to local foodbanks and programmes to end hunger
- Education: applying for college and scholarships
- Employment and Volunteering: creating CVs and applying for jobs and volunteering opportunities
Please see the timetable below for information on when to contact the Support Service.
Please note: due to high demand, we are only able to work with clients already registered with us.
