Fitness and Sport Sessions

We believe in supporting the whole person, emotionally, intellectually and physically. People come to us seeking access to free, high quality health-centred sessions every week.

Our exercise sessions are therapeutic spaces that impact all aspects of wellbeing, as well as being a place to build community and friendships. 

Dance

Dance classes are led weekly at the Centre by professional choreographers from Protein Dance, a distinguished and award-winning London dance company, and are very popular every week. 

Gym

Gym sessions are offered twice per week, online and in-person, at our partner St Mary’s Neighbourhood Centre gym, a 5 minute walk from the Centre.


Yoga

Yoga sessions are led weekly online by a trained yoga instructor, focusing on mindfulness, balance, and embodiment.  Once a month, instructors from NISABA lead an in-person yoga class for women.

Sports Discussion

The Sports Discussion Group meets each week to chat about the latest in sports as well as socialise and build community. 


Training has been tremendously helpful for me in so many ways, especially health wise. I can not help but feel good.

Health Partnerships

The Islington Centre acts as a hub for accessing healthcare and healthcare products. We offer regular appointments in-person and online with NHS CLASH, which provides advice on sexual health, and have visits from healthcare professionals. We distribute toiletries and hygiene products and partner with Bloody Good Period to distribute period products.

NHS CLASH provides regular sexual health advice sessions with 15 sessions last year

Bloody Good Period sends monthly orders of period products with 5,500 individual items distributed last year.
