Since 2020, Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants has advanced it’s Digital Inclusion programme supporting refugees and people seeking asylum to gain digital skills and access to devices. With so much of today’s world and services online, digital skills are vital for everything from seeking jobs to accessing healthcare.
Digital Skills Class
Every week the Digital Skills class online covers topics with everything from navigating Gmail to Zoom and job boards to online banking.
Access to Devices
Access to smartphones and laptops are crucial to digital inclusion. Islington Centre distributes around 90 new and refurbished devices each year.
Digital Drop-In Sessions
Screen Share UK offers 3 weekly drop-in sessions at our Centre where anyone is welcome to bring questions about using their devices, navigating websites and online portals, and more.
