International Migrants Day festival – 18 December, 2025from 2pm to 9pm

Migrant Voice and Centre for Youths Integrated Development (CYID) welcome you to the event of the year – a migrant festival to celebrate our lives, journeys and resilience.

Stalls and cultural exhibitions: hosted by migrant communities showcasing art, textiles, music, food, and traditions.
Stage Performances: Live music, spoken word, dance, and cultural showcases by migrant and local artists.
Panel discussion: ‘Hope out of Hostility – shifting the narrative’ – interactive discussions with community leaders, creatives, and policymakers on recent migration policy and developments, youth empowerment, and integration.
Rights and resilience circle: Free legal advice, migration help desks, and financial management support for migrants settling in the UK.
Migrant Recognition Moment: Celebrating individuals and organisations making a positive impact in London’s migrant communities.
After Party: Culture Meets Celebration, an evening of Afrobeat, Caribbean music, and cross-cultural networking to close the day with joy and unity.




Free Mental Health Support in Islington

The Islington Recovery Café is here to support individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. We invite you to consider referring service users who may benefit from this safe and welcoming space.

  • Immediate crisis support: A calm environment where individuals can de-escalate and receive one-to-one support.
  • Structured activities: Therapeutic groups, creative sessions, and wellbeing-focused workshops.
  • Practical guidance: Recovery Workers available to help service users build coping strategies and connect with ongoing support.
  • Accessibility: Open 365 days a year, free of charge, and no appointment required.

Accessible entrance can be found in Purley Place (house numbers 5 and 6), a passage in between 26 and 28 Islington Park Street.

Haringey Migrant Support Centre (HMSC) Information Sessions

Join them to learn who can apply for British Citizenship as an Adult (with an immigration solicitor), how to prepare your application, and what the process is.
Sessions will take place at HMSC’s drop-in Community Space. They offer £5 cash for travel, available to the first 25 visitors who request it – arrive early to receive! Every community day, they run:

  • Yoga class at 12pm
  • A hot meal with halal meat and vegan options served between 1-2pm
  • Barber offering free haircuts throughout the day
  • Sewing class with a seamstress
  • Volunteers to link visitors to local services and offer support with form-filling

    They are not able to give individual immigration or housing advice in our community space. To book an advice appointment with HMSC, call 020 4566 7412 at 10.00am on a Thursday.

Free weekly football sessions for Unaccompanied Minors, Asylum-Seeking, and Care-Experienced Young People aged 16–21 are running again this term!
Delivered in partnership with Islington Independent Futures, the sessions provide a welcoming and inclusive space for young people to enjoy high-level football coaching, meet others, and have fun in a relaxed, supportive environment.

AI Gateway: free AI learning for everyone, by the Good Things Foundation

The AI Gateway is a free, open access learning platform designed to boost AI literacy and confidence for everyone. This guided, interactive resource has been developed with insights from the National Digital Inclusion Network, so it’s built with real community needs in mind.

The platform helps people learn at their own pace in a safe environment, building both practical AI skills and the judgment to use these tools wisely. Whether someone is wondering “what is AI?” or ready to explore how it might help in their daily life, the AI Gateway meets them where they are.
