Trusts and Foundations

We rely entirely on donations and around 70% of our funding comes from the trusts and foundations we partner with. We always welcome the opportunity to work with organisations which share our aims of offering kindness, dignity and practical help to refugees and migrants who have fled some of the world’s worst atrocities seeking asylum.

Who funds us?

The trusts and foundations we are proud to work with are:

The French Huguenot Church of London Charitable Trust

The Reel Fund/London Community Foundation  The Diana Parker Charitable Trust

The Leigh Charitable Trust       The Rhiannon Trust

…as well as the hundred of individual supporters, without whom our work would not be possible.

We have been working with refugees and migrants in London for 23 years and have strong, long-lasting partnerships with our funders. To find out more, please contact our Head of Fundraising, Anna Giokas on anna.islingtoncentre@gmail.com

“All centres are closed now so all the usual support systems are all gone and this money was and is a lifeline. If this support package wasn’t there I will in fact have to go without sometimes and probably not be able to travel far to see my kids.”

Peter, an asylum seeker.

Spotlights On Two of Our Funders

Cloudesley is an independent charitable trust that makes grants to people, organisations and churches within the London Borough of Islington. A multi-year grant from Cloudesley helps us to run our Support Service which provides refugees and migrants with information, advice and referrals to help them overcome the inequalities they face and lead happier and healthier lives. Cloudsely also part-funds the support packages we have been sending to destitute refugees and migrants every fortnight since the start of the pandemic.

Thank you so much to everyone at Cloudesley – you make our work possible.

Funding from the National Lottery has helped us through the pandemic with a grant for salaries and support packages to asylum seekers at one of the worst moments in the crisis. More recently, we have been granted £9,000 through the Awards for All scheme so that we can keep sending support packages throughout the spring and summer.

These grants have made a huge difference to the people we support – thank you National Lottery!
