The Islington Centre supports over 150 asylum seekers, refugees, and vulnerable migrants every year to overcome their problems and rebuild their lives in the heart of our community.
We provide holistic, integrated services and activities that meet the complex, interlinked, severe, and multiple needs of asylum seekers, refugees, and migrants.
“The centre helps us to find a solution to our problems, helps us to light the dark.”
The safe space, and quality services, we offer, are crucial to enabling this group to feel welcomed and part of the community, as well as enabling our visitors to overcome crises and more long term problems.
Our services help to reduce mental distress, improve educational and employment potential, improve independence and integration, and reduce isolation.

We believe in looking after the whole person – attending to each person’s practical, emotional, psychological and social wellbeing. We work together to build a safe, positive experience of community for those who have no other sources of emotional and practical support.
We would not be able to undertake our vital work without the support of our wonderful partners: you can find out more about this work here.
